Saying Goodbye

Tomorrow I have to do something that I absolutely dread....something that aside from 2 distinct instances, I have avoided in the last 13 years. Tomorrow at 2 p.m., I will attend the funeral of my friend Brian Wynne, and I'll have to say goodbye.

Brian was killed over the weekend, when he and his son William were swept out by a rip tide. A rescuer reached Brian and William. Without hesitation, Brian gave his son to the rescuer, knowing that he might not make. He died saving his son, he died a hero.

So tomorrow, I will go and honor my friend, and the legacy of love he has left behind.
